LIMITING CHARGE
Radiological services are subject to the limiting charge of 115 percent of the physician fee
schedule amount. When any provider performs and bills for radiological services, the limiting
charge applies to both the professional and technical components (and, therefore, to the global
service, if billed globally).
Both the professional component and the technical component for screening mammography are
subject to the limiting charge rules.
Note: The limiting charge applies to all services/supplies that have been billed on an
unassigned basis by any nonparticipating provider.
